Q) What time is arrival time, what time can we check in? A) Unless otherwise arranged check in time and arrival time is anytime from 4pm on the day of arrival. Q) What time is checking out time on the day of departure? A) Depending on the day of your departure check out time is usually around 12pm on the day of departure. If you have any specific requirements regarding arrival and departure times please get in touch as we value your custom and wish for you to have an easy time staying with us.
Q) What is included with my Bell Tent booking? A) Each of our bell tents comes complete with full bedding kits for each person comprising of futon style mattresses along with full bed linen, sheets, pillows and duvets. Each tent also comes with warm rugs and matting for under foot, Moroccan style lanterns and decorative pieces and solar lighting.
We also include private campfire area, BBQ and charcoals, logs and fire wood for normal campfire consumption and usage and also sell additional bags of logs for anyone who wishes to sit up late and keep the campfire running into the night.
Q) Are we able to bring dogs and pets with us? A) Pets and dogs are allowed at management discretion. Please speak to us about this if relevant at the time of enquiry and booking.
Q) Do you provide electricity? A) Mad Hatters Glamping is a remote glamping location and as such we do not have electricity with the glamping field. Speak to us at the time of enquiry and booking for further details regarding electricity and other utilities and amenities available at each of our locations.
Q) Do you provide showers and toilets? A) Toilet facilities are available in the form of private festival style toilets for you and your group of friends and family. We also include a private shower facility onsite for you and your guests too. Additional toilets and showers can also be arranged for larger groups which we can discuss with you at the time of enquiry or booking.
Q) Do you allow campfires? A) Yes campfires are included at Mad Hatters Glamping and all of our glamping locations. We include a private campfire area at all of our glamping locations for you and your guests to enjoy which makes a great central area for gathering with your friends and family during your stay.
We include enough firewood for normal campfire use and can supply additional firewood for those who wish to sit up late and keep the campfire burning into the night.
Q) Do you allow barbecues? A) Yes we include barbecue facilities free of charge for cooking together with charcoals and catering pack for this.
Q) Which months of the year are you open? A) Due to the nature of the UK weather our season starts at the beginning of May and runs until the end of September. Easter dates can also be arranged when Easter falls in April rather than March. From experience we find the warmer months of the year are a far better time for glamping and been in the countryside.
Q) What is the situation with parking? A) Parking is free of charge . Depending on the weather you can either park either at the top of the glamping field or if the land is dry you can drive closer and park right outside of the bell tents.
Q) It says each of the bell tents comes complete with full bedding kits? What does each bedding kit include? A) Full bedding kits for each person are included and comprise of futon style mattresses along with full bed linen, sheets, pillows and duvets.
Q) What should I bring with me? A)Most of what you will need is already here. But along with suitable clothing for the outdoors, personal items such as toiletries a small torch can be handy.
Q) Is there a communal sheltered area in case we have some rain during our stay? A) Yes we can provide Gazebo style structures for you in the event of rainy weather which can also be used as a shelter from the sun in warmer weather too.
Q) We would like to add some activities and onsite entertainment to our booking can you help us with some suggestions and help arrange this for us? A) Yes we have a wide variety of options and suggestions for this and lots of experience with booking either onsite entertainment or activities in the local area for you. Q) Are we allowed to play music and what about noise? A) We do allow music to be played but we do also request calm, sensible and considerate behaviour towards others late on into the evening.
Q) What food options do we have during our stay? A) There are numerous food and catering options available for you during your stay.
Many of our guests choose to self cater and we include Barbecue facilities together with charcoals or this.
Takeaway delivered to to you is another popular choice and we have a wide range of local takeaway options who will deliver the food of your choice to you at your chosen glamping location.
Eating out at local restaurants and country pubs is also popular as well as hiring a local catering company, catering van or hog roast for your special occasion.
